While We Were Gone...

While we were in Atlanta, the kids had a blast with my mom and dad (and G.G., Aunt K.K. and Carrie too)! The boys always look forward to trips to Grammie and Pop Pop's because it usually means lots of books to read, crafts to make and things to cook. Here are a few shots of how they spent their time:

Making squirrels!

Watching the Jungle Book, a special surprise from the Crews' family!!

Making Pumpkins!
And of course, Griffin was busy making a mess!

Painting!!

And eating! Apparently, Collin hit a growth spurt while we were in Atlanta! He cleaned his plate and wanted the proof in picture form to show us! He hasn't stopped chowing down since we've been home either!
-----------------
While the boys had a great time, Eden had a bit of a struggle with feeling well and missing us! She turned 33 weeks on Wednesday, so my mom attempted to take a few pictures to capture her weekly development. However, it took nearly all day of attempt after attempt, when finally Grammie gave in and let Eden chew on the hairbrush long enough to snap a couple of pictures for me!

At least she is happy here!

But this is the face that she displayed for most of our trip. Thank goodness for Grammie's, Pop Pop's and G.G.'s, who don't mind the tears, but see them as a chance to cuddle and snuggle with our sweet little girl! We are so thankful that they watched our three little ones, so we could get away for a few days! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!!!!!!

What a treat! Your kids are going to remember their visits for the rest of their lives.
I am soooo glad you guys got away on a little trip. I am sure it was much needed. It's so hard to leave the little ones when you know that you know exactly how to comfort them. Good for you!

Andrea, I thought the same thing about that last pic- and generally, I haven't thought she looks a lot like her daddy. How funny that you saw it too!

This makes me think of all of us when we were little going to Gran and Papa's and doing the same stuff: crafts, movies, and FOOD!!! Oh man, I miss those days! Can we all just be little again and sit in the backroom at Gran's at "the kid's table?"
